Kakani is a short drive (30 minutes) from Kathmandu. Two lovely canyons, Phung Phunye (185 m) and Chhare (145 m), can be found in Kakani district’s settlements of Dhansar and Jurethum. Both canyons are set in stunning terrain, with views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Langtang while abseiling from them. The location has sufficient water flow throughout the season because it is located at an altitude of 1,325 meters above sea level, which is neither cold nor hot. The finest seasons for canyoning at Kakani are spring and fall. Canyoning is not far from the well-known Kakani hill station, which is renowned as a picnic spot with stunning landscape.
