Overview
The Guerrilla Trek is one of Nepal’s newest trekking routes, taking you into the most isolated districts of the western section of the country, specifically Rukum and Rolpa. The Guerrilla Trek is called after the trails used by Maoists during the Nepalese Civil War, which concluded in 2006. Trekking along the Guerrilla trail is an amazing experience for anyone interested in the Maoist cadres’ way of life in the rough environment. Guerrilla Trek, in addition to beautiful landscapes, allows trekkers to engage with innocent natives who have remained unaffected by modernization. The 15-day Guerrilla Trek begins upon your arrival in the nation. Legal hunting reserve in Nepal, followed by Myagdi, Rukum, and Rolpa, which were combat zones during the war. The trek passes across Jaljala Pass (3107m), which offers breathtaking views of Api (7132m), Saipal (7031m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna (8091m), and the other Himalayan peaks. Guerrilla Trek also offers distinct civilizations that vary depending on the region. The hike takes you through magnificent forests of rhododendron, fir, pine, birch, juniper, oak, and hemlock before arriving at Thakali, Tibetan, Chhetri, Brahmin, and Magar villages. The hike over the Maoist cadres’ historic pathways also illustrates the difficulties of those living in the harsh environment. Guerrilla Trek will undoubtedly provide an exciting experience to the trekkers.
