Naya Kanga Peak Climbing

Following breakfast the following morning, you will go for a full-day sightseeing trip of the Kathmandu Valley. You may see Swyambhunath, a very old temple that is essentially classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the revered Pashupatinath Temple.

Highlights of our guided trip include the largest Buddhist stupa at Boudhanath and the exquisite artwork and old architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square, which showcase the ancient culture of Nepal.

Patan City’s historic architecture and renowned fine arts will charm you on a visit. You will have time to explore the neighborhood, eat supper, and maybe take a leisurely stroll down the well-known streets when you get back to your hotel. A traditional Nepalese dinner at the Nepali Cultural Restaurant rounds off the day.

To avoid traffic, we will leave early in the morning for Syabrubesi. We will drive through breathtaking scenery of green lush hills, occasional views of snow-covered mountains, and some of Nepal’s fastest moving rivers. Syabrubesi is the beginning point for the majority of treks and expeditions in the Langtang region, allowing you to prepare for the trek and purchase any necessary trekking equipment. Walking alongside the Langtang River, we will gradually ascend to the Lama Hotel. We will pass through small, picturesque Tamang villages with magnificent stone cottages and receive our first glimpse of the Himalayas. The occasional prayer flag billowing against the wind on the village’s backdrop look lovely and provide excellent photographic opportunity. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

This region is known for its abundant flora and fauna, and as we travel to Langtang hamlet, we will see plenty of beauty. We will travel through Gumanechowk and Ghodatabela before arriving in Langtang village. We will pass through several small waterfalls and streams, as well as lush meadows, before arriving at Langtang hamlet, from which we will have a view of the Langtang Range. The Kyanjin Gompa, which holds enormous significance for the locals of this area, appears stunning against the backdrop of grey and white. The Buddhist influence is so strong that we observe several prayer flags fluttering against the prayer wheel and miniature prayer houses that people have created. The settlement offers views of Langtang Lirung (7227m) and Langtang II (6596m). Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

Today’s acclimatization hike will take us up to Tserko Ri (4984m). The daybreak from Tserko Ri is magnificent as it passes through numerous fields with yaks grazing. From a height of 4984m, it provides a spectacular view of the valley below as well as a panoramic vista of Langtang (7,227m), Yala (5,500m), Shishapangma (8,013), and Dorje Lakpa (6,966m). It is an excellent time to shoot some stunning photographs before returning to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

We’ll head to Ngegang over a trail bordered with juniper plants and a slight descent to cross the Langtang Khola. This walk offers stunning views of the Langtang Lirung (7227m) and the Langtang glacier. There is a diversity of flora and fauna in this location, so keep an eye out for unique species. This location is home to snow leopards, red pandas, and other species. Overnight in Ngegang.

We will be walking on tough terrain as we ascend to the High Camp. The rocky, ice topography makes this location especially difficult to walk on, and one must be careful not to tumble and sprain their ankle. We will also have great views of the Himalayas from here, which will be limited at first but will become panoramic as we ascend. Langtang (7,227m), Tserko Ri (4984m), and Yala Peak (5,500m) are among the mountains. Overnight at High Camp.

We’ll begin our ascent before daylight. The stars visible in the night sky inspire us to reach the summit and enjoy the breathtaking sights. Following a tough climb from the north side, we will trek for quite some time before reaching the summit. With 360 degrees of mountains, this gives for an excellent photo opportunity and a moment to be proud of oneself for completing it. From the top, we can see the entire Langtang Lirung Massif, including the glaciers, Tserko Ri (4984m), Yala Peak (5500m), Shishapangma (8013m), and Dorje Lakpa (6966m), among others. After we have spent enough time up here, we shall descend to Kharka. It’s been a long and difficult day and much rest is needed. Overnight in Ngegang.

Today’s trip will be quite short, as we descend to a suspension bridge and cross the Langtang River. We’ll then ascend for a long over lovely terrain before arriving at Kyangin Gompa. We cross Chhona Lake as we descend to Kyanjin Gompa. The magnificent mountains will be with you during the walk. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

As we make our way to Rimche, we’ll pass through a few Sherpa and Tamang villages, as well as some yak pastures. We’ll largely be going downhill through oak and rhododendron forests, with numerous wildflowers blossoming as we finish the day’s walk. We will follow the Langtang Khola for the entire hike. Today is the second to final day of our walk, and it is a good moment to reflect on our accomplishments and experience a strong sense of pride and success. As we approach Thulo Syabru, we can feel the city life drawing closer. We get to Thulo Syabru by a track that passes through Bamboo hamlet and a few hot springs. Overnight in Thulo Syabru.

We travel for around 3 hours from Thulo Syabru to Thulo Barkhu, following familiar pathways. This is our final stretch of walking because we will board a private vehicle and return to the buzz and activity of Kathmandu valley. Once in Kathmandu, you can purchase for gifts and souvenirs.
