Bardia Community Homestay

Following a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a captivating sightseeing tour of various iconic places in Kathmandu, including Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhanath Stupa. After an enriching exploration of the historical and cultural sites, return to your hotel to rest. Later in the evening, you will meet with your tour guide and a representative from Gravity Expedition Pvt. Ltd. for a brief session. The day concludes with an authentic Nepali dinner in a cultural restaurant, offering a delightful end to your day.

The journey from Kathmandu provides breathtaking views of the Trishuli River, picturesque villages, terraced farms, suspension bridges, and the towering mountains in the distance. Upon reaching Dalla, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the homestay host, where you can relax and immerse yourself in the food and culture of the local Tharu community. Later in the afternoon, you’ll embark on an excursion around the village, offering you the chance to observe the lifestyle of this ethnic group from Western Nepal. Along the way, you’ll pass vibrant green rice paddies, well-maintained mud homes, and haystacks, all against the backdrop of a breathtaking blood-orange sunset—an experience that may offer solitude as you could be the only tourist in the area.

This day is dedicated to exploring the surroundings of Bardia. The main attraction of the area is Bardia National Park, where you can observe the Royal Bengal Tiger and other wildlife such as wild elephants, one-horned rhinoceroses, and various species of deer. Additionally, you’ll participate in a Jeep Safari led by an experienced local guide to observe birds and other wild animals. This will be followed by an excursion around the Khairpur Blackbuck Conservation Area, Animal Breeding Centers, Karnali Bridge in Chisapani, and the Thakur Baba Temple. The highlight of the day is the opportunity to spend a night in Machhan, a watchtower located in the heart of the forest, providing a unique experience of jungle nightlife.

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, the four-wheel journey commences. Along the way, you can savor views of the Trishuli River and hills adorned with typical Nepali villages.
