The Thrilling Saribung Peak Expedition

27 Days

Overview

Saribung Peak (6,328m/20,761ft) is located in a corner of the upper Mustang area in the Damodar Himalayan range in western Nepal, near the Nepal-Tibet border. The Nepalese government finally allowed climbers to summit the mountain in 2006. In this Saribung peak climbing expedition, we do the upper Mustang trip to Lo Manthang. We also visit the stunning Luri Gompa before venturing into the remoteness of Namta Khola Valley. The Saribung excursion program allows you to visit stunning and distinctive landscapes while also learning about different civilizations and religions. We will also walk across the Nar and Phu valleys following the successful Saribung expedition. For experienced mountaineers, ascending Saribung Peak is a very simple hike. However, passing high mountains such as Saribung La at over 5,600 m and Kang La at over 5,200 m is physically taxing and strenuous. Wongchhu Peak Promotion has planned the Saribung Expedition to explore the limited upper Mustang area, the walled village of Lo Manthang, and the Nar Phu valleys, all of which are well-known and exciting trekking sites.
