The Bhairav Kunda trip is a spiritual journey located in the north-east of Kathmandu Valley, close the Tibetan border. Bhairav Kunda trip is classed as a pilgrimage trip since it brings you to the petrified pilgrimage site of Bhairav Kunda (Lake), which is located at an elevation of 4,250 meters. This area is usually visited by Hindus and Buddhists during the festival, which takes place every year in the month of Bhadra, on the Full Moon day. This lake’s name was taken from Lord Bhairav, a destructive image of Lord Shiva. A spiritual trek is also regarded as an exciting, stirring trekking track. Many more tourists join the trek to explore the traditional culture and view of some awe-inspiring Himalayan ranges.This trekking trail provides breathtaking views of several mountains, including the chain of Peaks Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Madiya (6,257m), and Phurbi Ghhyachu (6,637m) in the Jugal Himal range, as well as the closest views of diverse Tibetan uplands and glaciers.

Itinerary
You will arrive in Kathmandu valley at the Tribhuvan International Airport, and our agents from Gravity Expedition will be there to pick you up. They will take you to your hotel, where you can rest and enjoy a delicious and traditional Nepali meal. In the evening, you have the option to attend a fascinating folk cultural performance.
Following breakfast the following morning, you will go for a full-day sightseeing trip of the Kathmandu Valley. You may see Swyambhunath, a very old temple that is essentially classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the revered Pashupatinath Temple.
Highlights of our guided trip include the largest Buddhist stupa at Boudhanath and the exquisite artwork and old architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square, which showcase the ancient culture of Nepal.
Patan City’s historic architecture and renowned fine arts will charm you on a visit. You will have time to explore the neighborhood, eat supper, and maybe take a leisurely stroll down the well-known streets when you get back to your hotel. A traditional Nepalese dinner at the Nepali Cultural Restaurant rounds off the day.
Early-morning picturesque trip to Jalbire. The drive to Jalbire is (1000m), which takes approximately 4 – 5 hours from Kathmandu. Throughout the journey, you will be treated to stunning mountain vistas. You travel north east on the road towards the Nepal-Tibet border to Balephi town. This town used to be a major stop on the commerce route to Tibet. The roadway you’ll be driving on is also known as the Nepal-Tibet Friendship roadway. The entire Balephi Valley is breathtaking, and from here our drive continues on the dirt road to Jalbire. After driving for an hour upstream along the river, you will arrive at your first night camp at Jalbire. Jalbire is a lovely Newar village located on the banks of the Balephi River. This village provides insights into the Newari culture. You can also visit the sacred Hindu shrine of Lord Vishnu in Jalbire.
It takes about six hours to walk from Chanaute to Khani Gaon. The majority of the day will be spent ascending steeply on narrow walking trails, pausing for welcome rests and admiring the breathtaking scenery. On this day, you’ll journey through villages, beautiful terraced fields, streams, and a local school. Khani Gaon is a Newari village. Khani translates as “mine source,” and Gaon as “village.” The was created following the conflict between Gorkha and Bhaktapur in the middle of the 18th century, when the residents of Bhaktapur fled to this location. The camping location has beautiful mountain views.

In 6-7 hours trek, you’ll pass through rhododendron forests and pasturelands to reach Forest Camp. Throughout the journey, you will observe nomad huts, wild birds, and animals. With any luck, you might also see bears and leopards. Overnight at the tented camp.
You continue your ascent for nearly 4 hours through pine and rhododendron forests. When you arrive in Pati, you may see some of the pilgrims’ dwellings as well as the camp’s beautiful mountain views.
Today, you rest to allow your body to adjust to the altitude before your next ascent tomorrow.
Today’s trip consists of an hour of steep walking followed by a leisurely stroll to Bhairav Kund. Bhairav Kunda is a holy spot for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, as well as Shamans, who come to bathe in the lake during the full moon in June/August, which is said to cleanse them of their sins. Lord Shiva devotees pray at the lakeside temple. Overnight at the tented camp.
You’ll leave for Sherpagaon early today. After a one-and-a-half-hour trek to the summit, you will enjoy the dawn and vistas of mountains such as the Langtang range, Jugal Himal range, and Rolwaling Himal (7181m). A steep descent through the rhododendron forest will lead you to Sherpagaon. Overnight at the tented camp.
After breakfast at the camp, you will continue on a difficult downhill journey to Larcha, which is located on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. After a strenuous hike, visit Tatopani’s natural hot spring and unwind in a warm bath. Overnight at the tented camp.
After a wonderful breakfast in Larcha, we return to Kathmandu. It will be a six-hour drive back along the Araniko Highway, with a magnificent countryside vista. Overnight at the hotel.
Leisure day in Kathmandu, followed by a farewell meal and celebration. You can ask your guide to take you on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. On this day, you can visit the valley’s numerous museums, including the Narayanhiti Museum, which was previously the residence of Nepal’s last king. You can also visit the hilltop of Nagarkot. After exploring the valley’s world heritage sites, you will enjoy a farewell supper with your Nepali friends and guide. You and your guide may even decide to extend your stay to include a Chitwan jungle safari, rafting activities, and other activities.
Our representative of Gravity Expedition will accompany you to Tribhuvan International Airport as you prepare to board your flight back home.
